We believe tooling for software teams is broken

Over the past decades there has been a Cambrian explosion of software tools. As a result we’re using a bunch of different tools to help us with every aspect of the product development lifecylce.

From ideation to planning, to documentation, coding, reviews, deployment, monitoring, analytics and maintenance.

And while each tool is great at what it does, they are in their own silos and weren’t built to work together. These silos lead to disconnected workflows, context switching, and difficulty finding information.

It forces us to jump between different tools and sift through notifications that come at us from different directions. All this is a drag on our work, focus and happiness. And we mostly just take it for granted.

Our vision is to build a better way to get work done. To unify our tools and data into one integrated workspace and fix these problems.

01

Information
Silo

Each tool’s data sits in it’s own walled garden. The data is fragmented across tools making it difficult to find and organize information and share information across teams.

02

Visual
Silo

Each tool has it’s own interface. As users we have to piece together our workflows jumping between different apps and browser tabs.

03

Notification
burnout

Some are urgent, others not so much. And to make matters worse they might show up in your email, on your desktop or in Slack, making it difficult to keep up.

04

Work
prioritization

We all get pulled into different directions: bugs, meetings, code reviews, feature work etc. We should spend less time figuring out what to do and have more time getting work done.

We know we can’t solve these overnight. But we believe in a future where our tools work better together and you can stay focused on building amazing things.

Who are we

We’re a group of repeat founders who have raised capital from top VCs in Silicon Valley. While getting big checks from VCs has its advantages, it also puts a company on a narrow path of success. We want to do it a little differently this time. Where raising money and growth is balanced with capital-efficiency and being default-alive. Which gives us optionality and lets us build the company we want to build over the long run.

We love what we do: designing and building great products. But our work isn't the only thing that defines us. We're not trying to create a semi-cult to get folks to work here. We simply enjoy working together and building useful and beautiful software for our customers. We’re all proud of our individual crafts we bring to the team while staying curious to learn from others. We value autonomy and self-motivation over micromanagment. And thoughtfully written communication over meetings. Lastly, we’re the first customers of our product. The engineering team is driving both how and what we build. Breaking down the walls between product, design and development is what drives our success. And makes building a lot more fun.
